Our Labyrinths
Here are images of the 2 labyrinths I had the great good fortune to be invited by artist, Tytti Götsch to paint in Finland this Spring. Tytti has also painted labyrinths in public for the city of Lahti. In our project she and I introduce her community in Orimattila, to labyrinths. One is painted outside at the Cultural center cum Library.
It is part of my "Our Labyrinth" (Meidãn Labyrinttimme) series such as the 3 paintings I maintain at Union Square park in Manhattan, NYC. Words within this labyrinth path read, "Come let us walk our questions together and someday maybe."
The second,"Labyrinth of Muna" (Egg) is indoors in a mixed use factory building. Tytti and her friends, the artists Virpi Kanto and Tapani Kokko all have studios there. The labyrinth is 60'd and placed in a 2000 (at least) square foot room available to the Community. The artists also plan to use the space as a display and performance site. e-mail: towear@dianacarulli.com
The Six Senses Labyrinth and Bagua 2 may both be enjoyed at DeWitt Clinton Park in New York City at 52-54th Streets between 11th and 12th Avenues.
Diana painted them in May '03 for the Parks and Recreation Department
